AIRFIELD’S added value through projects information.


The following examples briefly present the projects we have conducted.

Although we will not go deep into detail on the presentation of each of these projects, the technical complexity to achieve an operational solution is rather noticeable. Similarly, on these type of projects, the need for coordination among several customer’s departments is essential: logistics, IT, marketing, quality, production and of course the general management is concerned. AIRFIELD supports all these departments to carry out each initiative.

For ASCOMETAL: embedded  GPS and RFID reader

Our client wanted to have a dynamic management of her stocks. AIRFIELD installed a UHF RFID reading system on a vehicle capable of carrying loads of 20 tones. Metal pallets were identified with passive UHF tags. The vehicle was geolocated by GPS.RFID embarquée

The tailored solution was developed in partnership between our teams and those of our client. AIRFIELD brought its know-how and ability to implement the system with the most appropriate components.

A study about the different tags available on the world market was carried out. A hardened and high-temperature resistant model was chosen.

The RFID and GPS antennas had to provide specific characteristics in order to be exploited in extreme conditions.

 

For VIESSMANN: UHF RFID gantry

Traceability of products from the output of production lines, in areas of internal storage and during shipment. The logistics provider (3PL) from Viessmann was incorporated into the project to profit from the benefits generated and follow-up until arrival to the end customer.
